The last time I was in Portland for a competitive match was in July of 2009 for a Premier Development League postseason thriller. I've seen several contests at the artist formerly known as PGE Park, but not since the stadium's recent renovation. Now known as JELD-WEN Field, the home of the Portland Timbers has been lauded as one of the premier soccer venues in the United States.
