Stewart Downing Will Not Commit To New Deal With Aston Villa
According to James Pearce at the Liverpool Echo, Aston Villa winger Stewart Downing has decided not to commit to a new deal with the club right now, putting Liverpool on alert. Downing said,
"I know the club are keen for me to extend my contract as I only have two years left on my deal and that my agent had a recent meeting with our chief executive (Paul Faulkner).
