Congrats, Morgan
Morgan Brian, an extremely skillful center midfielder who has been a mainstray in the USA's U-17
and U-20 Women's National Teams, was today named the Gatorade National Girls' Soccer Player of the
Year. Brian was the youngest player on the U.S. team that almost won the 2008 FIFA U-17 Women's
World Cup in New Zealand and then was the captain of the squad that failed to qualify for the 2010
FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup despite out-scoring its opponents 38-0 (seven coming from Morgan)
during CONCACAF qualifying.
