ESPN Star loses Champions League Malaysian rights

NYON, Switzerland — UEFA has dropped ESPN Star Sports as its Champions League broadcaster in Malaysia and Brunei. UEFA says it has sold rights to Astro in a three-season contract from 2012-13 through 2014-15. The value of the deal, which includes broadcasting the second-tier Europa League, was not disclosed.
