One trick ponies
Spurs lost any slim chance they had of a return to the Champions League next season as a Peter Crouch goal was the difference between themselves and Man City at Eastlands. City by contrast have now cemented that fourth place with the win, and cannot be caught by Liverpool either.
The result means that it is all to play for this weekend as Tottenham visit Anfield in a battle for fifth place and the remaining European (Europa League) spot in the league.
