You can't blame Vancouver for thinking they'd overcome a scenario of their own making at Empire Field on Wednesday night. Vancouver's Gershon Koffie was shown a red card in the 44th minute only for the Whitecaps to open the scoring from the penalty spot in the 55th. Eric Hassli celebrated his short-handed goal by taking off his shirt, earning him a second yellow card and an early exit.
