Ain't That a Pitch?
Great story, and one of those that highlights how having access to pristine pitches isn't the most
conducive environment for developing great technique and ability in tight spaces (otherwise known
as the "poverty produces footballers, plenty produces automatons" argument). Or so I'll insist to
my daughter when we head out to the mix of weeds and fescue growing on hard-baked clay that passes
for our local fields.
