When and how did you first get interested in soccer?

When I was 8. I was playing American Tackle ball and since I was the smallest kid on the team they were not playing me. I ended up quitting and my parents mentioned that my brother was playing soccer. My thought was what the heck is soccer. Anyway I decided ok I'll try and feel in love with the game, even to the point I thought I could take on Pele' and beat him.
