The Seattle Sounders second year as an MLS team ended much the way its first one ended, with a first-round playoff exit and feeling like a talent-filled club had underachieved.
Such is the high standard the club set in its first year of existence. As the Sounders move into year three, they will once again face the pressure of being considered one of the top teams in MLS.
