It was not a good night for English sides in the Europa League as both Liverpool and Manchester lost their last-16 first legs. Braga will take a slender one-goal lead into the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie at Anfield next week after an early penalty from Alan proved enough to see off Liverpool.
