Tim Howard took his usual place in Everton's goal for the 1-1 draw with Birmingham City on Wednesday in a result that was more valuable for relegation threatened Birmingham City. City's point moves them out of the relegation places at 17th-place, leading 18th-place West Ham on goal differential. City went up in the 17th minute with John Heitinga equalizing for Everton in the 35th.
