Timbers Updates – Three new signings announced, U.S. Open Cup structure set, and more on Cascadia rivalry.

The Portland Timbers announced three additional signings: former Chivas USA midfielder Sal Zizzo, former Timbers U-23 midfielder Freddie Braun, and former Timbers U-23 goalkeeper Jake Gleeson. The Timbers also learned about the 2011 U.S. Open Cup format, which includes more lower division clubs but no members from the D-2 NASL.
