Upcoming Manchester derby highlights poor timing of friendly
Now I will say it now, I'm no Man United fan and I have found Sir Alex Ferguson's attitude to internationals irritating at times (though the mysterious 'injuries' picked up by Ryan Giggs ahead of every Wales friendly were quite amusing).
But you have to have a modicum of sympathy for the Scot and his Italian counter-part Roberto Mancini, whose preparations for this weekend's Manchester derby (with a early kick-off don't forget) have been hampered by their players jetting off to all corners of the world for a clutch of international friendlies.
