Reds halt Chelsea chase

Chelsea's title hopes were dented earlier this evening when Raul Meireles netted the only goal of the match to hand Liverpool a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

In a toughly contested match, the Blues held their own for the most part but were not able to get through the visitors' defense. It must be noted, though, that they were denied a late opportunity for a penalty when Branislav Ivanovic appeared to be fouled.
