Midfielder calls Dowd a ‘joke’ on Twitter

Arsenal youngster Jack Wilshere could face punishment from the FA after he mocked referee Phil Dowd on Twitter.

The use of the social networking website by Premier League players most recently came under fire when former Liverpool forward Ryan Babel used it to complain about the officiating in an FA Cup match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
