Liverpool fans key to Hodgson exit

LIVERPOOL, England Former Liverpool defender Phil Thompson believes the "unprecedented" way the club's fans had turned on manager Roy Hodgson was instrumental in his departure. Liverpool announced that Hodgson had left the club by "mutual consent" with the Reds 12th in the Barclays Premier League, just four points above the relegation zone.
