Big news inside the U.S. WNT to start this event as midfielder Heather O'Reilly got engaged over the break. While in Chapel Hill for Mia Hamm's charity golf tournament, Heather's long-time boyfriend Dave Werry (they were college sweethearts!) popped the question.

Werry asked her to go on a jog through campus and as they entered the track around UNC's Fetzer Field, where O'Reilly starred for the soccer team and Werry played lacrosse, up on the scoreboard was this message:

HEATHER, WILL YOU MARRY ME?
