New York 0–0 Real Salt Lake: Tight Midfields Battle For A Point Each
This was supposed to be a big test for the up and coming New York Red Bulls as they were facing for the second time the defending MLS Cup champions Real Salt Lake. Unfortunately for the Red Bulls they were without Dane Richards (Jamaica) and Bouna Coundoul (Senegal) as they were called in for National Team duty.
