A Blessing in Disguise?

If you've read some of my updates in the past you may have noticed I'm the pessimistic type. I like to think the worse when it comes to Spurs so I'm not as upset when we lose to Wigan at home and the like. The news of Defoe's injury being worse than we first thought with him having surgery and now being out for at least 3 months is obviously not good but could it be just what we needed?
