James Milner has acted swiftly to clarify that Wayne Rooney is very much a part of England's preparations to face Switzerland in their second Euro 2012 qualifier.
Manchester United striker Rooney, whose club and international form alike has suffered tremendously since the end of last season, appeared to have regained his edge in an impressive performance throughout England's 4-0 thumping of Bulgaria in Friday's opening qualifier for Poland and Ukraine.
