Gallas Signing Will Spur Tottenham On

Like him or not, William Gallas is a terrific defender.

Most importantly for Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp, Gallas will not be exploited in the pathetic manner in which Sebastien Bassong and Michael Dawson were by the Young Boys' forwards.

Gallas brings with him to White Hart Lane a wealth of experience, as he has played at the highest level.
