World Cup bans, another failure for French Football

The French Football Federation took action on Tuesday against the alleged leaders of the World Cup fiasco that had led to the controversial exit of the 2006 finalists from the tournament. Unsurprisingly, Nicolas Anelka, who was not represented at the hearing, received the heaviest punishment with an 18-match ban from the French national team.
