Wednesday Kicks: Chivas USA waives Santos & more
*Chivas USA today released Brazilian striker Maicon Santos, 26, and sparsely-used midfielder José Macotelo.
Santos had started his MLS career relatively brightly under previous Chivas USA coach Preki in Aug. 2009 and scored two goals in 11 starts for the club, but had been relegated to a substitute's role by Preki's successor Martin Vasquez.
