Last Thursday, officials from CONCACAF (I'm guessing from the UNCAF offices in Guatemala) inspected the Estadio Independencia in Estelí to determine if it is suitable to host matches in the CONCACAF Champions League next season. Close to a million dollars have been spent on the upgrades to the lighting, stands, locker rooms, and press boxes.
