Alpha United was to play in Group A in Puerto Rico along with the PR Islanders and Racing Gonaives of Haiti. Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, and visa requirements for the Guyanese team made it unlikely the club would be able to travel to the island for the April 13-17 group stage on time.
