Horwath joins MLS as pool keeper
Alex Horwath is a professional soccer player without a team.
"It's kind of a weird situation," the former University of Wisconsin goalkeeper acknowledged Tuesday.
Horwath signed with Major League Soccer this week as a pool goalkeeper, a system the league set up to ensure that teams have backup keepers for emergency situations.
