Continuing to improve, but the ending's the same

The Columbus Crew's elimination from the Champions League last week ended MLS' involvement in the CONCACAF's top club competition. It has now been ten years since a MLS side won this competition, when it was still the Champions Cup, and even that achievement was devalued because the LA Galaxy never had to leave their home stadium.
