BREAKING: Martin says Brush was "bad for morale"
The Chairman of Southend United has told a group of supporters that former assistant boss of the
Shrimpers, Paul Brush, was sacked because he was "bad for morale" and that he and Steve Tilson
"agreed on everything and it was time for a change".
During a 100 minute Q&A session, Ron Martin also said that former top scorer Lee Barnard was
prepared to "down tools and refuse to play for the club again" if he wasn't sold to one of the
interested clubs.
