NEWS: Southend's 'Cliff Lift' to return this summer
It's been revealed that Southend's iconic Cliff Lift will return to action this summer.
The carriage for the funicular will be reinstalled on Tuesday (23rd March) as the restoration works
near completion. It was closed in 2003 due to technical problems. Since that date, regulations
governing its operation have changed, requiring modifications before it could reopen.
