New name ahead for Cedarburg SC
The Cedarburg Soccer Club is changing its name to North Shore United with the goal of attracting players and families from outside the suburban Milwaukee community.
Milwaukee Wave player Joe Hammes, a Cedarburg native, is the director of coaching for the club. The Under-15 girls team won the 2010 Wisconsin State Championship, beating perennial power FC Milwaukee in pool play and then Appleton and Waunakee in the semifinals and championship, respectively, last fall.
