D.C. United got off to a winning start on Saturday in its opening match of the 2010 Carolina Challenge Cup, while Toronto FC endured a disappointing start.
D.C. defeated Real Salt Lake, 2-1, on the strength of two Jaime Moreno goals, while TFC tied the Charleston Battery, 0-0, in Saturday's doubleheader at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, South Carolina.
