Hull City sack Phil Brown
In what has to be considered a shock, Hull City have fired manager Phil Brown with nine games left in the season. Hull are currently second from bottom in the Premier League, three points from safety.
Hull chairman Adam Pearson said in the statement that:
"Hull City AFC confirms that Phil Brown has been relieved of his managerial duties at the club and has been placed on gardening leave with immediate effect.
