SPORT: Shrimpers survive again...but only just
Southend United have won another reprieve in the High Court, after being granted a further 35 days
to find the money the taxman says the club owes him.
Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs issued a winding up petition on the Shrimpers, stating it was due
£183,000. The ruling against the League One club came at today's hearing, which had been adjourned
from February.
