BREAKING: Shrimpers name Webb as assistant boss
Former boss David Webb has been named as the new assistant manager of Southend United, following
the sacking of Paul Brush yesterday.
63 year old Webb has had four previous spells as manager of the Shrimpers. He left Torquay to
manage The Blues on 17 June 1986. He left Southend in March 1987, just two months before they won
promotion to the Third Division.
