Singapore's loss...
It was only going to be a matter of time before Gabriel Obatola found a new club once the Singapore
government had rejected an extension to his permission to carry on playing in the SLeague.
The 22 year old Nigerian had been harbouring hopes of becomng a Singaporean citizen. This would
have been his fifth year in the country and the man who had been Gombak United's top scorer for the
last three years had turned down a move to Maccabi Haiffa to pursue the dream.
