The United States lost 2-1 to Holland on Wednesday on a tough night at Amsterdam ArenA. Dirk Kuyt put Holland up from the penalty spot in the 40th and the United States was lucky not to have been called for a handball in the box just before halftime. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar had his shot deflected to make it 2-0 in the 73rd.
