It's one of the fastest growing Facebook groups in the south-east, and now Longpier.com is its official news source.

The 'Southend-on-Sea' page has more than 33,000 fans and is getting bigger every week.

A mixture of ex-pats and current residents are fans of the page, which also features polls, photographs, links, discussion and events sections.
