UEFA Champions League Final to air on US network TV
FOX's announcement that the UEFA Champions League Final will air on their over-the-air channels is a watershed event in sports programming in the USA, and in soccer programming in particular. I, for one, never thought I would see the day that a European club final would ever air live on network television; the viewership on cable has never been very high relative to other major sporting events in this country (I'm not including the Super Bowl which is in a category of its own).
