BREAKING: Southend given 28 days to pay HMRC
Within the last few minutes it's been confirmed that Southend United have been given another 28
days to pay a debt - thought to be £205,000 - to the taxman.
The club are adamant that the HMRC actually owes them money - rather than the other way around, due
to a "overpayment" in the £2.
