We can start with good news this morning and thankfully the news regarding Thomas Vermaelen wasn't as bad as he had expected. I have to admit, if the official site had put up a headline saying 'Vermaelen's leg requires amputation' followed shortly by one saying 'Belgian defender dies on operating table', I wouldn't have been even slightly shocked.
