United Beats City to Reach Carling Cup Final
A closing goal in stoppage time from Wayne Rooney put Manchester United through to the Carling
Cup Final.
A 3-1, semi-final second-leg, win over bitter rivals Manchester City gave
United a 4-3 aggregate victory and put them through to the Final at Wembley on Sunday, February
28.
The Red Devils came into this second-leg semi-final carrying a deficit, on aggregate, after having been defeated at Eastlands 2-1, January 19.
