Rapids trade Peterson to Toronto

The Colorado Rapids have sent midfielder Jacob Peterson to Toronto FC in exchange for allocation money.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Peterson,drafted by Colorado with the ninth pick in the second round of the 2006 MLS draft, recorded eight goals and five assists in 92 games for the Rapids.
