Could celebrated Argentine club River Plate be planning to bolster their defense by bringing in an established player from Major League Soccer? That seems to be exactly what they are attempting, as reports have linked River with Real Salt Lake defender Jamison Olave in recent days. The 28-year-old could help reinforce the club's backline ahead of the upcoming Torneo Clausura after they stumbled to a less-than-impressive 14th-place finish in the 2009 Apertura.
