Luciano Emilio Leaving DC United For Brazilian Club
The club knew it was a possibility when they declined the option on his contract for 2010 in hopes of re-signing him at a lower price, but now it has become official: Luciano Emilio will not return to D.C. United this season, reports the Washington Post's Steven Goff. Instead, the 2007 MLS MVP has reportedly signed a six-month contract with Rio Branco Esporte Clube de Americana, a second-division team in his native Brazil.
