2009 has been a year like none before.

Barcelona hit the 'sextuple', Cristiano Ronaldo was sold for around 80m, some big nations struggled to qualify for the World Cup, Theirry Henry's 'hand of the French god' sparked arguments and England felt that the Irish were cheated, etc.

And not just in football; 2009 changed the whole world forever.
