It wasn't a vintage performance at Old Trafford, nevertheless the young Manchester United side had fought hard� to earn a 2-0 victory over Tottenham. Darron Gibson scored both goals in the first half, but the away side were lacking quality in the final third. United were able to sit back once the two goals were scored, and last year's winners march into the semi finals.
