LIVERPOOL CLIMB TO 5TH AS THEY WIN THE DERBY


Liverpool climb to 5th in the table after a hard-fought win against near rivals Everton at Goodison Park.A deflected goal by Javier Mascherano on 11 minutes gave the red half of Liverpool an early lead.The visitors then had to soak up alot of pressure from David Moyes side.The Toffees had the ball in the net twice, only for both goals to be ruled correctly offside.
