Wigan players to refund visiting fans

Following their embarrassing 9-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, Wigan Athletic players have stated their intention to personally refund any fan who made the trip to North London.

"We feel that as a group of players we badly let down our supporters yesterday (Sunday), and this is a gesture we have to make and pay them back for their tremendous loyalty," captain Mario Melchiot told wiganlatics.
