FC Barcelona surrendered first place in the Spanish La Liga to Real Madrid yesterday following their 1 1 draw at Athletic Bilbao. Fullback Daniel Alves opened the scoring for Barcelona at San Mames Stadium when he latched onto a Hernandez pass in the 53rd minute. However, Bilbao's Gaizka Toquero equalized 10 minutes later.
