Mitchell, Orediggers upset FLC
Kayla Mitchell scored twice as the Colorado School of Mines women's soccer team defeated RMAC tournament champion Fort Lewis 2-1 on Sunday at Dirks Field in Durango.
Mines (19-4-0) will face Metropolitan State College at noon Friday at Auraria Field in downtown Denver.
Mitchell, who finished the match with eight shots, scored the winning goal in the 40th minute, capitalizing on some miscommunication in the Fort Lewis defense.
